  Brigham Young wanted the saints to establish United Orders, but few were successful. Orderville was the most complete and successful United Order in the church. Others were partially successful. Brigham City had another form that was successful.
  A flood in 1880 destroyed the dining facilities, and families ate separate from that time. In 1885, in response to government pressure over polygamy and 'strange' economic practices, leaders advised disbanding the Order. Delaun's father and wives left, but Delaun remained in Orderville and raised his family there.
