  Kenna Robertson Cox was born in Peerless, Utah a small mining town in Carbon County up Spring Canyon. This town no longer exists. She was the fourth of five children and the youngest of two girls. In her younger years her family moved frequently and so she had the experience of attending a new school almost every year.
  
  Her parents were Earl J Robertson and Ruby Hall. Her father was born in Orangeville and moved away in his youth but came back in his later years. Her mother was born and spent most of her younger years in Millard County.
  
  She and Ward were married in the Manti Temple on May 28, 1941. They are the parents of five children. One girl Vicki Kenna Cox Kofford who lives in Castle Dale and four boys. Richard Earl who was killed in a coal mine explosion in 1956 at the age of twelve along with a friend, Brent Idler and his Uncle Ted Robertson, Dan Henry who lives in Orangeville, Wilford Ward who also lives in Orangeville and Robert J Cox who lives in Ferron. At the present time they have nine grandchildren.
  
  They have lived in Orangeville all of their married lives. They have both been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ward was a counselor in the Bishopric to Bishop Blaine Tuttle for seven years and has held other Ward positions. Kenna has been a Ward Relief Society President, a Stake Relief Society President a Stake Mutual Counselor and has had many Ward Callings.
