  CHARLES BENJAMIN, second son of Jonathan, was a prosperous miller, who owned mills at different places. After the Civil War he went West, visited his relatives in Utah, then settled in Santa Rosa, California, where he and his wife Margaret Lockwood (also found as Lockhart) Cox died.
  
  He was sent to the Senate twice from California and once from Iowa. He had 8 children.
  
  Agustus Cox says birth place was Union on the Susquehanna. Moved to Windham, Portage, OH in 1833 Moved to Wisconsin in 1850. Moved to Santa Clara, CA in 1874. Address abt 717 Cherry St, Santa Rosa, CA Clare C gives death as 1891
  
  He sawed lumber for the Nauvoo Temple, but never lived in Utah. Aunt Phena Sidwell used to write to him and his youngest brother, Uncle Johnie.
