Obituary: Frank William Baudack

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Frank William Baudack, returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father May 7, 2002 at the age 88 after suffering a short illness during his stay at the St. Marks Hospital.
Born September 2, 1913 in Silver City, Utah the son of Anthony Baudack and Angela Mismash Baudack. In 1927, at the age of 14, Frank moved with his family to Tooele. His Father passed away shortly after. He finished the 10th grade at Tooele High School and went to work with his older brother (Tony) to support his family, taking correspondence at home to complete his education.
Frank served his country entering the army in 1941 under active duty in World War II. Leading his section in New Guinea and The Philippine
Islands and discharged as a Staff Sargent in 1946.
Frank married Barbara Mae Taylor, June 3, 1949. He worked as a switchman for the Denver & Rio Grand Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1976. Frank had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid camper, hiker, hunter and fisherman. Enjoying the time with his family in the high Uintah Mountains. He also enjoyed carpentry and creative wood works.
Survived by his wife Barbara, two daughters: Shirlee Ann (Allan) Andersen and Phyllis Kaye (Tom) Davis, eight grandchildren, Erica (Travis) Ferran, Monica (Kenny) Hilton, Ryan (Megan), Rebecca, Stephanie, Clayton, Corbin and Gregory Andersen. three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Ryleigh Ferran and Kayden Hilton. Sister Mary Francis (Ferris) Lawson.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Josephine Thomas, older brother Tony and younger brother Carl.
