  !Warren was a Body Guard to the Prophet Joseph Smith.
  
  He was Bishop in Manti when he married Sarah Elizabeth. She was engaged to Thomas Lewis, and Bishop Snow could not convince the couple that his desires took precedence. In 1857 he was castrated personally by Bp Snow, for an undisclosed sex crime. (Accepted crimes for this punishment were adultry, incest, and relations with a whore.) Thomas evidently spent the rest of his life as mad. He and his brother tried to castrate Bp Snow, but he shot two of his attackers - maybe the end of Thomas' life.
  
  Bp Snow and Sarah married April 1857 in SLC, and were sealed in the Endowment House in 1869
