Buried in temple clothes. At time of death Evva was living in Springdale in the Springdale 2nd ward, Declo Stake. Home address-Rt. 1 Box 1492 Burley, Idaho 83318. Was loved by many of acquaintences as was shown at her viewing and funeral. Evva died after an enjoyable evening at Relief Society Homemaking meeting and a visit with a good friend, Mirna Marchant. Lester got upset with her for spending 20 minutes talking with Mirna when she had so much work to be doing inside the house. Evva fixed a bowl of soup for Les while he was outside mowing the lawn. He came in to eat. As soon as Evva set the bowl of soup on the coffee table she bent onto her hands and knees and shook her head back and forth. Les asked her what was wrong but she did not answer. She then slowly laid down on the floor. Les thought she wanted him to rub her back since this is the way she would often lie when her back was hurting and he would rub it. Les went to rub her back and he continued to ask her what was wrong. Evva still did not answer. Les then turned Evva onto her back and when he saw her face he figured she was dead. He went to the phone and called Cheryl who came over immediately. Cheryl had Les call for the ambulance and she started CPR. With the CPR they got Evva breathing but her eyes were still dilated and they never changed. At the hospital the doctors worked on her for one hour or more before they pronounced her dead. The unofficial report form the coronor was that the cause of death was a blood clot in the heart. Cheryl, Rays wife, said a blood clot would cause almost immediate death because the oxygen to the brain would have been cut off.
Ray called Rosalie from the hospital and Rosalie called Ardell. Grant was at Ardell's house at the time. Emma found out about the death from the mission president. Grant was in Utah to pick up his wife Regina (Jeannie) and his daughter Elizabeth from the SLC Airport. They just flew in from Virginia.
