Esther Cox
Father Frederick Walter Cox always spoke with regret in voice and in manner of "baby sister". ESTHER COX, daughter of Jonathan Upham Cox, was born 21 Jan 1825 in Owego and died 10 Mar 1827.
She was slightly burned accidentally. The family had not thought the burns were serious until she suddenly passed away, being scarcely 2 years of age.
"Down beside the flowing river, where the dark green willow weeps, And the leafy branches quiver, there our baby sister sleeps."
