The journey across the plains, and the preparation involved, has not been discussed very much in the family histories. Warren Foote was captain of an 1850 wagon train, and his journal includes the minutes of the crossing. On the Interesting Things page

There is a web site for Orville Cox Day, the family genealogist, with stories and pictures. Paul Day, a grandson, has set that one up. This is noted on the Links page.

The history of Elisha and Sally Whiting is very interesting, and can be found in the Hulet Ancestors pages.
Sullivan Richardson collected a number of stories, referenced on the F Walter Cox family page. More are coming.
A number of ancestral research comments and problems from O C Day, our dedicated family researcher, are found in the ancestors on both the Cox and Hulet ancestors pages.
